Lauryn Rodriguez
Hip-Hop, Jazz, Tap, Ballet, & Gymnastics
My name is Lauryn Rodriguez. I have been dancing/doing gymnastics for 17 years. I started training at Fox Studio with gymnastics, tap, ballet, & hip-hop. Further down the line, I studied with Jayvee Dance Center dancing tap, jazz funk, contemporary, and hip-hop. I competitively danced Hip-Hop with Teen Groove, Junior Hit-List, and Downey Dance Team. I also studied with GRaVy babies for a season, being exposed to many different styles of Hip-Hop, and training intensively. From there I branched out to teaching at Downey High School as a CTE assistant for their Dance 2 program, focusing on choreographing a Contemporary Recital Piece and cleaning two routines. After graduating, I studied the History of Hip-Hop at Long Beach City College, as well as the general History of Dance. I taught and wrote the curriculum for Barbizon of Hollywood’s Dance Program. I have also taught at local studios such as Onstage Dance Center, Art Dance Academy, Hands4Hope LA, and teaching at a public school program for the Riverside Arts Council. Now I teach for a private gym company, GroovinKids owned by Katy Cryns and plan on enjoying my time here at Fox Studio again, completing my full circle back at my home studio.
